[Linuxmint-jp:222] bash プロンプトを変更したい

梅田です。

bashプロンプトを標準的な状態=$に変更したいのですが、

を参考に添付ファイルのように最下段に

> #change bash prompt
> export ps1="$"

書き加えましたが変更されません。どのようにしたらいいか、ご教示いただけた
らと思います。
